Although the case was dismissed for lack of foundation, Osbourne’s fame was already legendary.Īfter shuffling the music retreat a couple of times, Osbourne organized a super successful tour in 1997 that brought together Pantera, Marilyn Manson and a Black Sabbath tour. In 1986 Ozzy was taken to court on charges that his song “Suicide Solution” used subliminal messages to instigate the suicide of his listeners. With hits like “Crazy Train” and “Goodbye to Romance”, Blizzard of Ozz reached the seventh position in the UK rankings and the 21st position in the USA. The lyrics were always about dark things and the guitars were heavy and strong, but nevertheless, the band was better technically and able to do things different from the typical metal of the moment. The first album was released in 1980 in the UK and in 1981 in the US, and it obviously had a lot of typical Black Sabbath elements. With his new manager and wife Sharon he formed his own band. After the 1978 album “Never Say Die”, Osbourne was kicked out of Sabbath, and there, Ozzy’s solo career began. The band became famous with its dark and macabre rhythms and songs, releasing famous albums such as “Paranoid” and “Master of Reality”.
